11/23 Change of plans

Yesterday I attended the SOAW vigil at Fort Benning. I have never been to an organized protest or a vigil, so I had no idea of what to expect. I found it really sad the sea of people who are now just gone, because of the atrocities that I feel are linked to economic policy but disguised as protection of nationality. It seemed that it would have been more effective if the protest was held in Washington…?..but isn’t Congress funding the School of Americas? So, I don’t know.

Anyway, I couldn’t help but to draw parallels between the personal battle for peace that my friend is going through, and the social struggle for peace, truth, and a common human rights. So, that being said, I am going to change my footage to the shaky footage that I took at the vigil and try to draw parallels to the internal and external through the juxtaposition of the audio and video.
