11/09 Shooting Day
Today was my first day shooting since creating my storyboard. It was a perfect, windy, grey day. I spent class time shooting clips of me walking on the street and then through grass and leaves. I initially thought that I would want to have shoes and clothing on a little more drab in color than my sparkly purple sock and navy shoes, but now I am not so sure that it will not work. What I did realize was that it was extremely difficult to find a cluster of trees that were independent of man-made influences, such as fences or buildings. It was actually more difficult to film them in their entirety without anything else distracting from them in the frame. I spent about an hour this morning and this afternoon about 30 minutes at the park in Oakhurst. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy day, however maybe something interesting could come out of filming in the rain. One interesting shot I got was of crossing a bridge. I like the symbolism of crossing the bridge and their was a post with yellow and black stripes on it in the middle of the pathway. I like that you got a visual warning to cross with caution.
